Supporting Black Philanthropy since 1985

The National Black Federation of Charities (NBFC) is a federation of some of the nation's leading nonprofit organizations. NBFC works to improve the quality of life and build sustainable communities in the United States and Africa.

The National Black Federation of Charities helps to ensure vital community-based services through:

  • Workplace Giving – Collaborates with public and private companies to foster inclusion in workplace giving campaigns.
  • Philanthropy – Directs dollars raised to organizations that provide services in education, employment, social justice, health and more.
  • Community Development – Works with local communities to foster charitable giving and provides technical assistance to ensure organizational sustainability.
  • Awareness Building – Builds awareness of Black philanthropy, its historical roots, value and application to the world in which we all live.
